Application of SUNFAR Electrical V220 Inverters in Compound Machines

Abstract: With development of production technology of compound machines, during the compound production process, maintaining synchronous stability of facility running is a critical technical measure to promote quality and production output of compound products. Therefore, during control process of electromechanical performance of compound machines, mechanical equipments are required to be kept with certain tension, that is to say, the liner speed should be kept consistent, so as to achieve constant-tension transmission of compound materials and maintain consistent tension of compound materials during production.

I. Preface
       Compound machines are important equipments in packing and printing industry, which are used to heat two or more layers of same or different materials such as cloth and cloth, cloth and paper, cloth and artificial leather as well as various plastics and rubber sheet coil to melted or semi-melted status or compound those materials into an integrity with a kind of special adhesives. Most economic compound machines still prefer slipper motors as the gluing motor and compound motor, leading to high energy consumption, complicated maintenance and unstable revolution.

II. Introduction of compound machines
       Generally speaking, compound machines are a kind of compound equipments used for gluing and production process for two layers or more layers of various textiles, clothing, leathers, films, paper and sponges. Compound is classified into compound with glue and without glue. The compound glue includes water glue, PU oil glue and hot melt glue, etc, and the compound process without glue is mostly direct hot-press adhesion or compounding with flame combustion.
       Common compound machines are classified into spray-bonded compound machines, glue-point transfer compound machines, flame compound machines, mesh belt compound machines and double-glue compound.
  
III. Process and electrical schemes of compound machines
       Take an example of V220 inverter applied in producing spray-bonded compound machine in a mechanical factory in Shanghai.
       General process procedure: coating → compounding→ transmitting → scutching→ releasing→ take-up, applicable to compounding between textiles, no-woven products and breathable film, etc.
       The spray-bonded compound machine mainly consists of coating, compounding, transmission, scotching, releasing and take-up parts.
       The coating motor is controlled by one 3KW motor, two compound rolls are respectively controlled by 4kw motors, and the transmission is controlled by one 3kw motor. Scutching is controlled by two 1.5kw motors, releasing by one 1.5 kw motor and take-up by one 1.5kw motor.
      For this scheme, SUNFAR electrical V220 inverter is used to control revolution of each motor. The SUNFAR electrical V220 inverter is a kind of high-performance vector control inverter. Aside from the characteristics of high low-frequency torque, good speed-adjusting precision, it can also provide overvoltage and overcurrent protection for motors. Through setting running mode of the inverter, the system can be controlled under stable constant liner speed.

System scheme description:
Coating, compounding, transmission, scotching, releasing and take-up are independently started and stopped;
The system is set with a master speed adjustor to adjust revolution of all motors; in addition, each motor is set with a potentionmeter to make slight adjustment of motor revolution respectively.
The compounding part and transmission part also have the function of switching over among acceleration, deceleration and normal running speed.
The inverter is in the open-loop vector control mode, to ensure system stability at low frequency.

IV. System scheme advantages
The system speed responds rapidly and motors run synchronously, ensure constant-tension transmission of compound materials.
The motor acceleration and deceleration process is mild, reducing equipment fault rate.
SUNFAR electrical V220 inverter has high low-speed stability and can run steadily above 0.3Hz
The system is convenient to run with less nodes and features simple commission and convenient maintenance.

V. Conclusion
The compound machine system scheme has normally functioned on the site of Shanghai customer for more than half a year since it is putting into use. It is proved that this scheme is able to effectively control motor synchronously, keep liner speed consistent, allow for constant-tension transmission of compound materials and keep constant tension of compound materials during production, hence promoting quality and quantity of compound products.
